HYBRID CAPITAL ADDS YARON COHEN AS DIRECTOR OF ORIGINATIONS

 

Industry Professional Joins Expanding Platform of

Commercial Mortgage and Advisory Firm

January 22, 2014 – New York – Hybrid Capital, a New York-based full-service commercial mortgage and advisory firm, announced that Yaron Cohen has joined as Director of Originations. The announcement was made by Bobby Bakhchi, CEO of Hybrid Capital.

In this role, Mr. Cohen will work closely with Mr. Bakhchi on the firm’s initiatives to arrange commercial mortgages for recapitalizations, acquisitions, and construction / development projects. Mr. Cohen’s responsibilities will include sourcing new business, underwriting real estate loans, serving as liaison with clients and lenders, and managing the day-to-day due diligence on existing assignments.

According to Mr. Bakhchi, “Yaron is a respected industry professional, and as our business expands we are pleased to have someone with his experience join our team and increase our capabilities to serve our clients and secure the most efficient sources of capital.”

Prior to joining Hybrid, Mr. Cohen served as a Senior Real Estate Associate with Sioni & Partners in New York, where he underwrote investment opportunities and successfully executed transactions in connection with the sale of properties valued in excess of $75,000,000. Prior to Sioni, Mr. Cohen was an Analyst in the investment banking group of DTZ Rockwood.

Over the past three years, Hybrid Capital has arranged financing for properties valued in excess of $1.5 billion.
