Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Mr. Bakhchi founded Hybrid Capital in 2005. Since then, he has negotiated in excess of two billion dollars in real estate transactions on behalf of some of the largest and most sophisticated real estate owners and developers in the industry. Prior to 2005, Mr. Bakhchi practiced law, representing institutions as well as individuals in connection with the financing, acquisition and divestitures of commercial real estate. Mr. Bakhchi received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and is admitted as an attorney to the Bar of the State of New York.
Mr. Blyzniuk Joined Hybrid Capital in 2015 as Managing Director. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate sector. Prior to joining Hybrid, Mr. Blyzniuk was Senior Vice President at Avison Young where he established a Tristate market advisory and transaction services group tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical companies. Prior to his experience at Avison Young, Mr. Blyzniuk was a Senior Director at CBRE, following 10 years at Jones Lang LaSalle (formerly Jones Lang Wooten). Mr. Blyzniuk is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Villanova University.
Vice President of Corporate Development
Mr. Apfel joined Hybrid Capital in 2014 as the new head of corporate development. Working closely with the CEO, he will be leading the design, implementation and execution of Hybrid Capital’s growth strategy. Mr. Apfel has a background in Corporate Finance, having worked in International Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance Advisory first at DC Advisory Partners in Paris and most recently at PME Capital in New York. He has a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Cohen joined Hybrid Capital in 2013 as Director of Originations. He brings with him three years of real estate advisory and underwriting experience from Sioni & Partners and DTZ Rockwood. He has underwritten and closed over two billion dollars of multifamily, office, retail, industrial, and hospitality assets. Mr. Cohen has a dual degree from Yeshiva University, a Bachelor of Science from Sy Syms School of Business with a major in Finance and an Associate of Arts degree from Isaac Brewer College.
Mr. Leung joined Hybrid Capital in 2014 as Director of Origination. As a former real estate attorney, Mr. Leung brings with him the negotiating experience and understanding of corporate and debt structuring necessary to close transactions smoothly and effectively. As an attorney, Mr. Leung has executed transactions from first time home buyers to large commercial developers. Mr. Leung received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and is admitted to practice law in New York State.
Mr. Bokobsa joined Hybrid Capital in 2015 as Director. Prior to that, he founded a marketing start-up and led the team by focusing on strategic partnerships, negotiating with Fortune 500 companies on a day-to-day basis. Mr. Bokobsa has also previously repositioned and successfully leased office space in Paris. He obtained his Masters in Real Estate Finance at New York University and received his B.S. in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Brandeis University.
Mr. Yang joined Hybrid Capital in 2015 as Director. Mr. Yang has a background in Risk Management technology in the Prime Brokerage Division at Goldman Sachs. He has over 4 years of experience in negotiating, underwriting, and executing transactions as well as leasing and property development in New York and in Boston for his family's real estate company. He has a B.A. in Engineering from Harvard University and currently serves on Manhattan's Community Board 11.
